Tower

This is a nice place to purchase souveniers, take a restroom break or have some ice cream. There is a large waterfall here, although the trail to the bottom has been closed for a couple of years because of a landslide.

Below are a couple images of the falls. This is as good as it gets right now. The first is the cascades near the road leading to the top of the falls.

We found this to be an exceptional spot for viewing wildlife as well. One day, right near the parking lot was a fox.

On another drive-by we saw "Rosie" and her two cubs on a distant hill. These same bears had been coming up to cars the week we were there but had been chased away by rangers.

On the same hill, at a different time, we saw this bull moose. What a strange sighting! We had generally looked around the streams and willows for moose but here was one on a large, open hillside.

Across from the parking area and a deep ravine was a tall tree stump with an owl's nest in the top. Look closely and you might be able to make out a white owl chick on top.

It was here that we found a very friendly and photegenic Steller's Jay.

In 2007 the park also started running the old tour buses again. This was our first time to see one.
