Norris is the "hottest" spot in Yellowstone. It is home to a large field of hot springs, geysers, vents and fumerols. Immediately below is Steamboat Geyser. It might go years between eruptions, but sends water and rock about 300 feet into the air when it does. We missed it by one week in 2005. Here are some of the the other sights you'll see. It's too bad that this is not scratch and sniff because the sulfur smells are very strong.
