Lower Geyser Basin

Lower Geyser Basin is a field of smoking, bubbling, and explosive thermal activity. After a cool rain, look at the smoke and steam that arises. This area includes the Fountain Paint Pots.

There are hot springs of rich color and boiling furry.

You'll find muddy, boiling water pits.

There are lava domes and active geysers.

Some of the land is scorched and white.

Do not leave the boardwalk or marked path. Hot water runoff is everywhere.
