Jenny Lake

Jenny Lake is a great, short, hiking location. Take a walk clockwise around the lake to Hidden Falls (or you can opt to take a boat if you desire). The path is rocky and has a little elevation change -- you will be tired after this 2.5 mile walk to the other side. The walk begins close to the lake shore.

Take a side trail to Moose Ponds. We have never seen moose there but there is always a chance. The flowers are beautiful along the path in Spring.

You might even find a little friend accompanying you on your walk. This is a marmot, or whistling pig (as some call them). Black bears and grizzly bears also call the Tetons home.

The views are spectacular as you come out of the woods and hike along the side of the mountain.

Hidden Falls is on the far side. Since you will be tired by this time, be sure you have some money in your pocket to take the boat ride back to the visitor's center.
