Day 13

Today was all about hiking, water and SNOW. Yes, there was snow all day long. Thankfully it was intermitent so you will notice some blue sky.

Our hiking began at 9500' above sea level and went up to around 10,000 feet. We hiked to four high mountain lakes and one waterfall.

Bear Lake

Nymph Lake

Hike up to Dream Lake

Chipmunk on way to Alberta Falls (notice sleet on its head)

Sprague Lake

Another elk... actually we say dozens today. This one is shedding his winter coat.

Trail Ridge Road did not open, but we did make it to the top of one high spot from which this picture was taken.

We will be on the road tomorrow, heading for St. Louis, MO. We will miss the park and this great adventure.
