Bubble Planets

My first attempt should more appropriately be called "Bubble Experiment." The idea is to make strange planet-like objects from ordinary dish washing soap and water. I realized quickly that objects will reflect in the bubbles (e.g., my hand, camera, dish rack, flourescent light, etc.) and that a soft box is necessary for an evenly distributed light source.

Here are the bubbles. I made them in a small drinking glass using a straw. I told you that things were reflected in the bubbles so please don't judge me harshly.

If, however, you get a little closer, then you will see the magic. I need to work on my depth of field, ISO and focus. But hey, this was a test and my first try. There will be more and with any luck they will improve.

And below I've played some with PhotoScape experimenting
with reflections, light bursts, frames, highlights, etc.
