My Story
 |
Many of you may know me as a
friend, co-worker, a father, a grandfather, a neighbor or photographer. But
there is more to Bryan Nowak. I was the first of four sons. My father was in
the Navy and we moved frequently growing up. My earliest memories were of
living in Rockville, MD. I was fortunate to have been brought up in a Christian
home where attending a Bible-believing church was important to my parents. I
attended Sunday School, sang hymns of faith and sat under preaching during my
early childhood. At the age of nine, I realized my need of a Savior and gave
myself completely to God one Sunday morning. I was baptized in a few weeks and
was on my journey to learning what it meant to be a follower of Jesus Christ. I
have been actively involved serving God and others to this day. In fact, all of
my jobs have been related to serving people whether at a food chain, motel, in
the banking industry, on a natural gas pipeline, or in computers and
technology. I am even a deacon, which literally means "one who waits tables" or
servant. |
At the age of 40 I sensed the
unmistakable call of God to enter full-time vocational ministry. One year later
I was leading worship part-time in a church and a year after that was hired as
a state missionary doing research for the Georgia Baptist Convention in Duluth,
GA.
I have not arrived in my spiritual
journey; it continues to this day, and I look forward to what each new day
brings as I experience life in the loving grace and forgiveness of my Father,
God. Your life's journey probably looks nothing like mine. We are all uniquely
created but with the same purpose in mind... to be a part of the family of God,
to bring Him glory with our lives, and enter into a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ that will span all of eternity. What I've experienced is real. God
has never let me down. I know His peace and the joy of living that comes with
knowing He's by my side and on my side regardless of life's ups and downs, or
my personal successes or failures. How is this possible? Can it really be true?

Are you right with God?
The Bible
says that it is appointed unto man once to die and then judgment. Are you
prepared for that? Here's some things you need to know directly from God's
Word...
-
"No one is good not
even one. No one has real understanding; no one is seeking God. All have turned
away from God; all have gone wrong. No one does good, not even one." Romans
3:10-12
-
"When we
were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us
sinners." Romans 5:6
-
"For God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish
but have eternal life." John 3:16
-
"If you
confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God
raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your
heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth
that you are saved." Romans 10:9-10
Won't you take a
moment to consider these truths? Eternity is a long time to ponder the mistake
of ignoring God during your short life. Pray and ask God to forgive you of your
sins. Tell Him you believe that His Son Jesus died for you and was raised to
new life on the third day. Tell Him that you will trust in Him with all of your
heart and receive His free gift of eternal life. Go ahead... talk to Him right
now. He is listening and wants you to be a part of His family forever. If you
have questions about this decision then check out some of the God Question
links above or email me. And if you don't mind, drop me a line to let me know
that you have chosen to give your life to Christ and follow Him (email
Bryan).
May God bless you in your spiritual journey of
faith.
